- a key is metal contraption used to open locks. but the word has metaphorical and symbolic meanings. our theme underscores the philosophical connotation of the key. just as a lock is opened to reveal valuables, human beings uses their innovative intellect to probe into mysteries, find solutions, access assets and achieve goals. move from mind to heart, and we find our inner selves blossoming through the key of belief in the divine.
our installation aspires to highlight the eternal force that creates all universe and manifests in all of us. we are but the many derivations of this oneness, the supreme being who inhabits not the world outside but our souls. let us all use the key of faith to unlock our hearts to the goddess.. may she illumine us from inside, may our selves brim over with our love and homage for our mother, our durga.
