the constitution, our protective armour, makes us aware of our rights and the scope of our democracy, offering a sense of belonging and a path to liberation. yet, even after seven decades of independence, many remain mere numbers, data, or vote-banks; homeless, untouchable, below the poverty line; minorities, intruders, illiterate, or marginalised. like beasts bound to the oil mill, we toil in cycles of struggle, our rights locked in the black letters of the constitution. within this, countless unseen lives persist, creating silent worlds of daily survival and despair.
