sanchay (savings)
human lives move toward an inevitable destiny, ultimately ending empty-handed and alone. in this journey, we carry only memories, experiences, and knowledge into the afterlife, while material belongings pass to the next generation. yet, during our time in the material world, dreams, desires, and achievements—often tied to money—define much of life. to balance wants and means, people develop the habit of saving, often using a small clay pot, called ‘bhandar’ in bengali culture, a desi version of the piggy bank. this year, this iconic item has been chosen as the Art medium for our entire puja pandal installation.
