- we are always concerned with our self, but we never bother to contemplate about the ‘real’ self in us, we evolve from mother nature and after our brief tenure on the earth we again merge into her. our precious ‘self’ then turns to dust. throughout the ages lalan, kabir, nanak, buddha, nimai repeatedly told this truth in their own simple ways, but we braggarts stupidly dance to the tune of nature. be it a lesson from the pandemic: let us shear off the selfish ‘self’ and start afresh in a simple unassuming way.
