ratnagarbha
“when will we have that child in our country,
who will be great not in words but in deeds?”
those who bear children like jewels are true “ratnagarbhas” (bearers of jewels). every mother treasures her children, yet few recall the poet behind the popular lines above—jibanananda das, whose mother, kusumkumari, was herself a ratnagarbha, envisioning greatness for her son through her Art. this year at kashi bose lane sarbojonin, the focus shifts to two other ratnagarbhas who broke social barriers, guided women toward enlightenment, saved countless children, and helped young girls transform into ‘durgas’.
